Standards requested of Members, Visitors and Societies
Dress Code
Visitors are expected to maintain a high standard of dress on the course and are asked to wear smart conventional golfing attire with spike or dimpled golf shoes. As representitives of the Club, the Secretary, Professional Staff and Stewardess have been given the authority to politely maintain these expectations and as such have the full backing of the Club Council in this regard.
Shirts
Must have a collar (mock turtle or polo neck are allowed), sleeves and must be tucked into trousers/shorts. Shirts bearing motifs, slogans and/or illustrations are not allowed on the Course or in the Clubhouse (makers logo eg. ‘Nike' is acceptable). Sleeveless and collarless shirts or tops are allowed for Ladies. It is preferred that Ladies' tops are tucked in, but they may be worn outside trousers, shorts or skirts.
Trousers
Approved golf attire must be worn on the Course, this does not include jeans, denims, tracksuits and ‘cargo' type trousers with patch pockets. Trousers must not be tucked into socks unless waterproof trousers are being worn over them. If braces are worn they must be under an outer garment

Shorts
These must be tailored and be no shorter than 4" above the knee and must not extend further then 1" below the knee. ‘Cargo' type shorts and shorts with ‘patch pockets' on the thigh are not allowed. Shorts are not allowed to be worn in the Members Lounge at any time or in the Dining Room after 7.00pm. Socks when worn with shorts must be either knee length or white sports socks. It should be evident that Ladies are wearing suitable golf socks. Gentlemen must wear socks at all times even when wearing sandals.
Footwear
Golf shoes must be worn when on the Course or Putting Green. Training shoes, plimsoles or flip-flops cannot be worn in the Clubhouse at any time.
Headwear
Hats, caps and bandanas are not allowed to be worn in the Clubhouse at any time.
Snooker Tables
The snooker table furthest from the door is reserved exclusively for the use of members.
Wet or soiled golfing attire
Wet or soiled golfing attire must not be worn in any of the Clubhouse lounges. It is advisable that a change of clothing is brought if the weather is likely to be inclement.
Mobile Phones
The use of mobile phones in the clubhouse (including the corridor down to the locker rooms), is forbidden except for the telephone box close to the front entrance. This applies to texting as well as voice use. Ideally phones should be left in the car but if that is not possible they should be turned off or alternatively set to silent to enable the user to make their way to the approved area.
When playing the Course would you please,
1. Play from the yellow tee markers in two or three-ball groups. Four-ball groups are only allowed by prior arrangements.
2. Visiting players are required to alternate with members from the 1st tee. This applies to the mornings only.
3. Players must replace divots, smooth out the sand on leaving a bunker and repair any pitchmarks on greens.
4. Please keep to the paths and do not take trolleys beyond the white lines in front of the greens, between the greens and any greenside bunkers.
5. Players looking for a lost ball or failing to keep their place on the course must invite the players behind through.
6. Players should not putt out if they are unable to score points in Stableford competition or to win or halve a hole in Match play.
7. Ride-on buggies may not be used without permission.
8. Mobile phones are not allowed to be used on the course except for medical and security emergencies and can only be used in the Clubhouse in the phone booth provided.
